Brian LeBlanc, president of the Connecticut Chapter of Labor Assistance Professionals, will be honored with a Partnership for Prevention Award from the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The award will be presented at the Annual Community Awareness Program Conference on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 9-3 at the Sharaton Four Points Hotel in Meriden, Connecticut.
LeBlanc was notified of the honor in a letter from the Rev. Fr. Kapriel Mouradjian.
"Dear Brian,
As you know, Union and worker's rights are very important to me and to my entire family. Never in my youth and beyond was I able to be witness to what you and the dedicated LAP folks do for your brothers and sisters in the workplace. I have been both touched and strengthened by your collective efforts. When I travel statewide to promote CT Dept. of Mental Health programs an on pastoral duties, I'm always reminded of how individuals, with little strength, can be fortified in numbers.
Your efforts and open-mindedness allowed me the opportunity to serve many union workers.
Because of your efforts, passion and dedication, I would like to share that I've submitted your name as representative of the CT LAP to receive a Parnership for Prevention Award from the CT. Dept. of Mental and Addiction Services.
They've approved my nomination and we'd like to make the presentation to you at the Annual Commuity Awareness Program Conference to be held on Saturday, June 7 from 9-3 at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Meriden.
Congratulations and God bless you and all LAP professionals.
Please contact me when you are able to.
Thank you.
Fr. Kapriel"
Congratulations, Brian, for a job well done.
